Rafting in the Sierra Nevada
There are several rivers flowing on the west side of the Sierra that offer great white water excitement. Numerous rafting outfitters provide everything from 1/2 day trips to multi-day trips. You can choose trips that offer Class 2 to Class 3+ rapids or those wanting more thrill there are trips that have Class 4+ rapids.
The American River is one of the more popular white water rivers in the Northern part of the Sierra. In the Southern Sierra there are the Stanislaus, Kings, Tuolumne, Merced, and Kaweah rivers.
